Brunswick House

The patio outside Brunswick House

We have a small garden and terrace with barbeque and seating available to residents of Brunswick House, overlooking the Hudeshope Beck at the rear of the house. The perfect setting for your pre-dinner drink on a balmy summer's evening.

Countryside

Middleton-in-Teesdale is surrounded by some of the finest unspoilt countryside in England. Whether it be small wooded valleys, tumbling steams, dramatic waterfalls (including England's largest waterfall 'High Force'), flower filled hay meadows or rolling heather moor land Teesdale has it in abundance. The best way of enjoying this is obviously on foot and there are mile after mile of well marked paths to follow including a stretch of the Pennine Way (England's first long distance footpath), and the Teesdale way (which stretches out to the mouth of the river Tees). The countryside can also be enjoyed by cycling along many of our quiet lanes, sailing on nearby Grassholm Reservoir, canoeing, fishing on the Tees or at the well stocked reservoirs or, weather permitting, winter skiing.
